Academic Accountability
These resources are intended for students who suspect rules violations, academic misconduct or unfair practices on the part of an instructor or staff member. Some of the resources listed below can be helpful in the academic assistance category.
The Student Rules
These rules dictate academic policies at Texas A&M. Use this as a resource if you think something in your class or academic experience may violate a policy. Use the other resources on this webpage if you are sure that something is not allowed or if you are still unsure after consulting the Student Rules.
Administrative Resources
These resources are intended for students encountering issues with advising, scheduling, graduation, or other logistical academic concerns.
Vice Provost for Student Success
The vice provost works with the academic colleges and other campus units to strengthen programs and services designed to help students successfully complete their undergraduate degrees.
Interim Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate and Professional School
The interim associate provost and dean works with the academic colleges and other campus units to strengthen programs and services designed to help students successfully complete their graduate and professional studies.
Undergraduate Ombuds
Based in the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Success, the undergraduate ombuds assists students, faculty, staff and administrators with resolving academic conflicts for undergraduates on an informal and confidential basis.
Graduate Ombuds
The ombuds officer advocates for the fair processes of graduate education and provides equal, open access to all parties: graduate and professional students, staff, faculty and administrators.
Undergraduate Curriculum Committee
This committee approves the syllabi of undergraduate courses at Texas A&M. Contact them with syllabi concerns.
Graduate Council
The council develops and maintains policies and procedures pertaining to graduate programs at the university. The council’s function includes long-range planning, recommendation of new programs and courses evaluation of existing programs and courses, and facilitation of university accreditation.

Office for Student Success Helpdesk
The Office for Student Success provides help for students in a variety of situations, including those with graduation concerns, academic uncertainty, scheduling issues, and more.
Ethics and Misconduct Resources
These resources are intended for students encountering issues with regards to ethical behavior, discrimination, and other types of misconduct.
Office of Risk, Ethics, and Compliance
The Office of Risk, Ethics and Compliance provides resources for sex-based (Title IV, VII, and IX) and disability-based discrimination; risk, fraud and misconduct concerns; and more.
Tell Somebody
Oftentimes after a tragedy, people come forward with information and observations that, in retrospect, may have signaled a larger issue. This information, when viewed collectively, may be helpful in preventing tragic events and initiating assistance to an individual. Texas A&M University is committed to a proactive approach and needs your help.
Aggie Honor System Office
The Texas A&M Honor University Aggie Honor System Office manages all Aggie Honor Code Violations.
Student Government Association
If students cannot find the appropriate resource or they are unable to help, they may contact one of the Chief Student Leaders for Academic Affairs.
Student Senate Academic Affairs Chair
The Division of Academic Affairs is the legislative arm that coordinates all academic issues between the student body and faculty of Texas A&M University. All policy regarding tuition, class sizes, textbooks, grades, scholarships, credit transfer and core curriculum is formulated in Academic Affairs.
Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs (LINK TO PROVOST PAGE)
The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is tasked with managing all advocacy efforts relating to academics and student rules, especially those pertaining Student Senate legislation. The Provost develops relationships with academic faculty and administrators, including deans and professors, to effectively implement positive change for students in regards to Academic Affairs.
Other
Student Assistance Services
A service offered by the Offices of the Dean of Student Life provides varied services for students. Some common issues that Student Assistance Services provides support for are: referrals and resource connections; concerning behavior follow-up; student welfare checks; student absence notifications; Silver Taps and student death; transition issues; and more.
